"Don't let the civilians die!" "Don't let the army dudes die!" "Let this chick who only does 10 damage per hit kill the boss with 600 HP!" I am regularly having to spend 3-5 attempts on plot battles because Devil Survivor fucking loves its escort missions, and loves taking out what you have to protect.
In conclusion: The worst part is, I can't even fault the damn game for it, because it makes perfect sense within the context of the story.
